The 10th edition of the Ironman Cairns is on the 6th of June 2021 in Far North Queensland

Event Details

The race takes place between Cairns and Port Douglas and has become over the years a ‘must-do’ on the IRONMAN circuit, being arguably one the races with the most incredible and spectacular views between the Great Barrier Reef and the Rainforest: no wonder it’s known as the ‘Race in Paradise’!

Starting in Palm Cove Beach, the first leg of the IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns journey will have swimmers complete 1.9 kilometers in the warm waters of the Coral Sea. Athletes will then grab their bikes and head out north onto the Captain Cook Highway, taking in the breathtaking views on the Pacific Ocean and seaside rainforest that Tropical North Queensland and IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns is famous for, while cycling for 90 kilometers to Port Douglas and returning South into the vibrant heart of Cairns City, for 21.1 kilometers run along the Cairns Esplanade and past the Lagoon, to the finish line at the Esplanade Lagoon Carpark, right next to Fogarty Park.
